UPDATE: Govt turns down bill on working retirees' pension raise

MOSCOW, Sep 23 (PRIME) -- The government did not support on Thursday a bill of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia envisaging the indexation of pensions of working retirees, according to documents of the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house..

According to the documents, the bill did not contain the information about sources of financing of the initiative, this is why the government did not support it.

The Labor and Social Protection Ministry said in a statement that the bill was declined due to a lack of important details, rather than because of the idea itself.
